TATTOOS: Tips on swollen legs and feet after a tattoo

As you may know I recently got a large lower leg tattoo. Unsurprisingly it swelled a touch the day after. Then it swelled a but more and spread into my foot. Needless to say, I was a little disconcerted, so I of course 'googled' it. This is where I hit a wall. There is loads of information on how to reduce swelling in your feet and ankles if you are pregnant.  Or if you have a sprained ankle. But not a lot specific to tattoos to placate my nervous mind, until I found this forum

So I thought I would post my findings, so I can share some knowledge on how to deal with swelling in the feet and ankles after a lower leg tattoo.

This might not happen to you at all. I have a small tattoo on my ankle from my 18th birthday. (Yes I got inked on my birthday and the studio sang to me too!) And from memory, it didn't swell much at all and I do not remember being in any particular discomfort during the healing. However, it was relatively small.  Especially compared to my newest piece, which covers 90% of my outer calf.

TATTOOS: Dani Green guesting at Dragstrip Tattoo - and more new ink

http://instagram.com/p/jg4EJetdmV/

I'm a little bit in love with Instagram for introducing and educating me on some new and amazing tattoo artists, especially after discovering the beautiful work and lovely lady that is Dani Green.

This lovely lass creates some of the most beautiful girls in her signature style and I love every single one of them. And she's only been tattooing for a year! This girl is a name for the future.

TATTOOS: Review - Brighton Tattoo Convention 2014

So I wrote last week about my excitement for my first tattoo convention of 2014, so here's the low down on what happened at Brighton Tattoo Convention (on Sunday anyway) and why it is one of the best conventions in the UK.

Myself and my hubby went along to the convention on the second day, Sunday and make the day of it, and we really weren't disappointed.  With an easy-to-find location right on the sea front it was the perfect setting for such an iconic place.

FASHION: Unicorn Shoes at Irregular Choice

I have a little bit of a shoe problem. Its been an issue since I was able to walk in heels. My mother nicknamed me Imelda Marcos due to my ever expanding shoe collection.
I like them high and beautiful, and occasionally just a little bit different.
So when I found Irregular Choice is was pretty amazed.

This brand has a massive collection of unusual and unique shoes and boots (and bags, jewellery and clothing, might I add) and they have a particular shoe that I am head over heels in love with! Pun 100% intended.

Launching tomorrow (6th February 12pm GMT) is there brand new unicorn shoe collection - and they are the magical queen of all shoes. These 4inch heels are basically wedge shoe boots with the wedge replaced with a Unicorn head. I think this is every little girls dream pair of shoes.

I've had a bit of a Disney inspired weekend.
First I attended my gorgeous God-Daughters first birthday party, and of course it was a Disney Princess theme.
